This was a strategically important design project and the first time Vauxhall had allowed its griffin logo to be adapted for use as an employee brand marque, emphasising the recruitment strap line – “It’s our people who make Vauxhall”. The main project was the website with a small leaflet to be given away at graduate fairs. The website used discreet hierarchical menus for both for ease of navigation and as a logical site map. Pictorial navigation allowed the user to select an employee profile. Real signatures headed each profile page to reinforce the informal style of the copy. The right hand column contained sub-navigation as well as relevant links and quotes.
The was a very intense project on a tight deadline that included art directing a photo shoot with all the candidates on a one-day shoot. It was great fun getting them all to relax and give a bit of themselves – the final images showed how diverse a team could be at Vauxhall Motors.angie
